01 - Membership & Subscription Terms
GhassanChallenges ("we," "us," "the Platform") offers a subscription-based membership that grants access to daily workout programs, meal plans, challenges, a point-based system, and community features. By subscribing, you enter into a binding agreement with the Platform operator, registered in the United Arab Emirates.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to subscribe. By completing the onboarding process and setting up your account, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that all information provided is accurate and truthful.
Account & Onboarding
During onboarding you will be asked to: set a username, provide your email address and contact information, upload a profile image, save the app to your device, and complete a macro calculator. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. GhassanChallenges is not liable for any loss arising from unauthorised use of your account.
Billing & Renewal
Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or as otherwise specified at checkout). Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled before the renewal date. We reserve the right to modify pricing with reasonable prior notice via email or in-app message.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at the email below. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain full access to the platform until that date.
Termination by Us
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for breach of these Terms, abusive conduct, submission of fraudulent challenge entries, or any activity we determine to be harmful to the platform or its community. Termination for serious breach may occur without prior notice and without refund.
02 - Refund Policy
We want you to be satisfied with your membership. Please review our refund terms carefully before subscribing.
- Free Trial (if offered): You will not be charged during any free trial period. Cancelling before the trial ends will prevent any charge.
- Monthly Subscriptions: Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis if requested within 48 hours of a billing charge, provided you have not materially used the platform during that period.
- Non-Refundable Circumstances: No refunds will be issued for partial billing periods, failure to cancel before a renewal date, dissatisfaction with fitness or nutrition results, or where the account has been terminated for breach of these Terms.
- Technical Issues: If a verified platform outage prevented access to core features for more than 72 consecutive hours, a pro-rated credit may be applied to your next billing cycle at our discretion.
- How to Request: Submit refund requests to the email address listed in the Contact section. Include your username, the date of the charge, and your reason for the request. We aim to respond within 5 business days.
UAE Consumer Rights: Nothing in this policy limits any rights you may have under UAE Federal Law No. 15 of 2020 on Consumer Protection or any applicable regulations issued thereunder.
03 - Health & Fitness Disclaimer
GhassanChallenges provides fitness programming, nutritional guidance, and wellness challenges for informational and motivational purposes only. The content available on the platform - including workout videos, meal plans, macro calculations, and challenge instructions - does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Important - Read Before Starting: Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before beginning any new exercise or diet program, especially if you have a pre-existing medical condition, are pregnant or postpartum, have recently undergone surgery, or are taking prescribed medication. Stop exercising immediately if you experience pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, or any unusual symptom and seek professional advice.
By using the platform you acknowledge and agree that:
- You participate in all workouts, challenges, and nutrition programs entirely at your own risk.
- GhassanChallenges, its founder, coaches, and content contributors are not liable for any injury, illness, adverse health outcome, or property damage arising from your use of the platform.
- Macro calculations are estimates only. Individual nutritional needs vary and should be assessed by a qualified dietitian or nutritionist.
- Video demonstrations are for guidance only. Performing any exercise incorrectly can cause injury. If unsure of proper form, seek in-person instruction from a certified fitness professional.
- Results shown or described on the platform (weight loss, muscle gain, performance improvement) are not typical and are not guaranteed.
04 - User-Generated Content
The platform allows you to submit content as part of daily challenges, including: text entries (journal prompts, written responses), numerical data (step counts, measurements), photos, and videos. Collectively, all content you submit is referred to as "User Content."
Your Ownership
You retain ownership of all User Content you submit. By submitting content, you grant GhassanChallenges a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your User Content for the purposes of operating the platform - including displaying submissions in community features.
Promotional Use
We may wish to feature your submission (e.g. a transformation photo or challenge video) in promotional materials, social media, or marketing content. We will seek your explicit prior written consent before using your content in this way. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us, though this will not affect prior use.
Content Standards
You agree not to submit content that is defamatory, obscene, hateful, sexually explicit, or that infringes any third party's intellectual property or privacy rights. We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these standards without prior notice.
Challenge Integrity
Certain challenges are completed on a trust basis with no upload required. You agree that all submissions - including trust-merit completions - accurately reflect your actual activity. Submitting false completions to gain points is a breach of these Terms and may result in account suspension and permanent removal from prize eligibility.
Storage & Deletion
Uploaded photos and videos are stored securely. You may request deletion of specific User Content by contacting us. Point records associated with deleted content may be retained to preserve historical integrity.
05 - Prize & Giveaway Rules
GhassanChallenges runs prize competitions on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis, linked to platform challenges and periodic special events. The following rules govern all prize-based competitions on the platform.
Eligibility
Only active, paying members in good standing are eligible to win prizes. Prizes are non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash unless explicitly stated.
Challenge Period
Each prize challenge has a defined start and end date, displayed on the platform dashboard. Points accumulated outside the challenge window do not count towards that cycle's prize.
Winner Determination
At the close of each challenge period, all members who have attained the highest shared point total for that challenge form the Eligibility Group. Winners are determined based on measurable performance metrics displayed on the leaderboard.
In the event of a tie (multiple members with identical highest scores), GhassanChallenges will determine the winner based on objective performance criteria, which may include but are not limited to: earliest task completion time, highest daily average score, most days participated, or other measurable performance metrics. The specific tiebreaker method will be communicated to members before each challenge begins.
Fallback Winners
In addition to the primary winner, backup winners are identified from the next- ranked performers based on performance metrics (Backup 1, Backup 2, Backup 3, etc.). If the primary winner is disqualified, fails verification, or forfeits the prize for any reason, the prize passes automatically to Backup 1, then to Backup 2, and so on under the same verification and attendance requirements. Backup winners have no claim to a prize unless and until the prize passes to them under this clause.
Verification & Identity Confirmation
We reserve the right to verify any submission and the identity of any winner before awarding a prize. As part of the verification process, winners may be required to provide valid government-issued photo identification and any other documentation we reasonably request to confirm eligibility and identity. Prizes will not be awarded where we have reasonable grounds to believe submissions were fraudulent or where a winner fails to provide satisfactory verification within the timeframe specified.
Winner Announcement & Attendance
Winners are announced during a scheduled group Zoom call. Attendance on the announcement call is mandatory for prize collection. If the drawn winner is not present on the call, the prize is forfeited and passes to the next backup winner in sequence. It is each member's responsibility to attend scheduled announcement calls during active prize periods. Call schedules are communicated via push notification and in-app messaging in advance.
Post-Announcement Verification
Following the announcement call, the winner will be contacted to complete any required verification (including identity confirmation as described above). If the winner fails to complete verification to our reasonable satisfaction within the timeframe specified, the prize is forfeited and passes to the next backup winner.
Final Decisions & No Appeals
All decisions made by GhassanChallenges regarding winner selection, eligibility, verification, disqualification, and prize forfeiture are final and binding. No appeals, challenges, or claims may be made against any such decision. By participating in any prize competition, you irrevocably waive any right to contest or appeal a decision made under this section.
Travel & Experience Prize Liability
Where a prize includes travel, accommodation, experiences, or any activity outside the platform (including but not limited to hotel stays, excursions, or event attendance), the winner accepts the prize entirely at their own risk. GhassanChallenges, its founder, employees, and affiliates are not liable for any injury, illness, loss, damage, delay, or expense of any kind arising from or in connection with the use or enjoyment of such a prize. Winners are solely responsible for obtaining any necessary travel insurance, visas, or permits. By accepting a travel or experience prize, the winner releases and holds harmless GhassanChallenges from all claims, demands, and causes of action related to the prize.
Prize Fulfilment
Physical prizes are delivered to UAE and selected international addresses. Shipping outside the UAE may incur delays. We are not responsible for customs duties, taxes, or delays caused by third-party carriers.
Modifications
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or cancel a prize competition at any time where circumstances beyond our control make it necessary. No compensation will be owed in such cases.
No Purchase Necessary
Where required by applicable UAE law, alternative means of entry without purchase may be provided. Contact us for details.
Governing Law for Prizes: Prize competitions are operated in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. By participating, you confirm you are not prohibited by the laws of your jurisdiction from entering prize-based competitions.
06 - Privacy & Data Collection
We are committed to protecting your personal information. This section summarises our data practices. A full Privacy Policy is available at: ghassanchallenges.com/privacy
Data We Collect
- Account information: username, email address, profile photo
- Health & fitness data: macro calculator inputs, step counts, workout completion records
- User Content: journal entries, photos, and videos submitted as challenge entries
- Usage data: login times, feature interactions, device type, browser type
- Payment information: processed securely by our payment provider; we do not store full card details
- Identity verification data: government-issued photo identification and related documentation collected solely for the purpose of prize verification (see Section 05). ID data is stored securely and deleted within 30 days of verification completion or prize forfeiture, whichever is earlier
- Prize winner payout data: bank account details (IBAN, account holder name, bank name) collected solely for prize payouts. Bank details are deleted immediately after the transfer is completed
- Social media handles (e.g. Instagram) collected for winner verification and promotional coordination
How We Use Your Data
- To operate and personalise your experience on the platform
- To calculate and display challenge rankings
- To verify winner identity and eligibility for prize competitions
- To send communications and push notifications (with your consent)
- To improve the platform, programs, and content quality
- To comply with legal obligations under UAE law
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with trusted third-party service providers - including Stripe (payment processing), Google Cloud Platform (hosting), Klaviyo (CRM and email marketing), Google Workspace (business operations and communications), and Zoom (group calls) - strictly to operate the platform. All providers are contractually bound to handle your data securely and in accordance with applicable law. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. Requests can be submitted to the contact email listed below. We will respond within 30 days. Note that deleting your account results in permanent loss of your challenge history, accumulated points, and rankings.
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active, and for a period thereafter as required by applicable law. Health and fitness data submitted via the macro calculator is stored for the duration of your membership. Identity verification data collected for prize fulfilment is deleted within 30 days of verification completion or prize forfeiture.
UAE Data Protection: We process personal data in accordance with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL) and any implementing regulations. By using the platform, you consent to the collection and processing of your data as described in these Terms.
07 - Push Notifications & Communications
GhassanChallenges is delivered as a Progressive Web App (PWA). By saving the app to your device's home screen and granting notification permission, you consent to receiving push notifications.
Types of Notifications
- Daily challenge reminders and workout delivery alerts
- Direct messages from Ghassan (e.g. Zoom invitations, weekly winner announcements, recipe highlights)
- Prize competition start/end alerts and updates
- Platform updates, new program announcements, and scheduled events
Consent & Opt-Out
Push notification permission is requested at the time you save the app to your device's home screen. You may withdraw consent at any time by adjusting notification settings on your device or within your browser. Withdrawing notification consent does not affect your membership or access to the platform.
Email & In-App Messages
We may also communicate with you by email (for billing notices, account alerts, and support) and via in-app messages visible within the platform. Transactional emails - such as payment receipts and password resets - cannot be opted out of while your account remains active.
Message Frequency
Push notifications are sent based on the daily challenge and program schedule. During active prize competition weeks, notification frequency may increase. We aim to send only meaningful, time-relevant communications and will not send spam.
08 - Intellectual Property
All content on the GhassanChallenges platform - including but not limited to workout programs, video demonstrations, meal plans, recipes, challenge frameworks, graphic assets, the GhassanChallenges brand name, and all written content - is the intellectual property of the platform operator and/or its licensors.
Ghassan's Recipe Collection
All recipes attributed to Ghassan, including those featured in recommended meal plans and the optional recipe book integration, are proprietary and protected by copyright. You may use these recipes for your own personal, non-commercial purposes as an active member. You may not reproduce, publish, sell, or distribute the recipes in any form without prior written permission.
Workout Videos & Demonstrations
Video demonstrations on the platform - including content produced in partnership with GoBodyEvo and MoveAndThrive - are licenced for viewing by active members only. You may not download, screen-record, redistribute, or publicly share any platform video content without express written permission from the rights holder.
Challenge Graphics & Downloadable Assets
Where challenge graphics or downloadable assets are provided (e.g. social media story templates for specific challenges), they are licenced to you for personal, non-commercial sharing as part of the challenge only. This licence does not extend to commercial use, modification, or redistribution. Note that not all challenges will include downloadable graphics.
Prohibited Uses
- Copying, reproducing, or republishing any platform content without permission
- Creating derivative works based on Ghassan's programs or recipes without written consent
- Using platform content to build a competing product or service
- Scraping, data-mining, or automated extraction of any platform content
Reporting Infringement
If you believe any content on the platform infringes your intellectual property rights, please contact us with full details of the alleged infringement. We take IP matters seriously and will respond promptly.
09 - Zoom Call Recording & Media Consent
GhassanChallenges hosts group Zoom calls for winner announcements, community engagement, and other platform-related events. All calls are recorded.
Recording as a Condition of Attendance
All Zoom calls hosted by or on behalf of GhassanChallenges are recorded in audio and video format. Recording is a mandatory condition of attendance. By joining any call, you acknowledge and consent to being recorded. A recording notice will be provided at the start of each call. If you do not wish to be recorded, you should not join the call. There is no option to attend a call without being recorded.
Use of Recordings
Recordings are retained by GhassanChallenges for internal operational purposes, including record-keeping and verification. In addition, clips from Zoom calls - including your name, likeness, voice, and statements - may be used for promotional, marketing, and social media purposes. This includes but is not limited to: sharing winner announcement clips on social media, featuring call highlights in marketing materials, and using testimonials or reactions in promotional content.
Marketing Use & Opt-Out
By joining a recorded call, you grant GhassanChallenges a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, irrevocable licence to retain and use the recording for internal purposes. The use of your likeness, voice, or statements in promotional or marketing content is subject to a separate, revocable consent. If you do not wish your recording to be used for marketing or promotional purposes, you must notify us in writing at support@ghassanchallenges.com before or after the call. Opting out of marketing use does not affect your eligibility for prizes, your obligation to attend announcement calls, or any other aspect of your membership. Recordings of members who opt out of marketing use will be retained for internal records only and will not be published or shared publicly.
Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation between the parties.
If not resolved within 30 days of written notice, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the UAE.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Where changes are material, we will notify you by in-app message or email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
